DR. SCHILLING TO HOST 2011-2012 CLINICAL GRAND ROUNDS SERIES

Dr. Schilling has been again selected to host the University of Minnesota’s Clinical Grand Rounds courses in Madison via live webcast.

Clinical Grand Rounds is a series of patient-centered continuing education courses devoted to diagnosis and treatment of complex cases. Dr. Schilling will host each course in the series at the private event room of Bonfyre Grill, 2601 W. Beltline Hwy., Madison, WI, 53713.

The course schedule for the 2011-2012 series is:

Outline for each course session:
5:15 - 6:30 p.m. Registration, Networking & Dinner (light supper and soft drinks provided)
6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Clinical Case Presentation Webcast

Each course will provide you with 1.5 continuing education credit hours that will meet the Wisconsin Dental Examining Board’s clinical continuing education requirement.

OFFICE OF DR. JODY SCHILLING VOLUNTEERS FOR WDA MISSION OF MERCY

Dr. Jody Schilling and her clinic team members volunteered at the WDA's Mission of Mercy event held June 24 and June 25 in Wausau, Wis. Dr. Schilling performed extractions and was assisted by Kate Setzer and Krista Morin. Sachin Tuli, Dr. Schilling's husband, helped manage patient flow for dental cleanings in the hygiene service during the event.

OFFICE OF DR. JODY SCHILLING RAISES OVER $550 FOR WDA MISSION OF MERCY

Dr. Jody Schilling, her husband, Sachin Tuli, and clinic team members served as "celebrity" guest bartenders for charity at Bonfyre restaurant on Monday, May 16.

In three hours, the team raised $556.94 for the Wisconsin Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy dental service event. Thank you to everyone who supported this event!

This year’s Mission of Mercy event will be held the last weekend in June in Wausau, Wis. The event will provide free dental treatment to those who are uninsured, underinsured or otherwise unable to visit a dental office. Dr. Schilling and her staff will be volunteering at the event. Dr. Jody Schilling and her husband Sachin Tuli, and clinic team members will serve as "celebrity" guest bartenders for charity at Bonfyre restaurant on Monday, May 16 from 5-8 p.m.

All funds "earned" by the team that evening will be donated to the Wisconsin Dental Association for its annual Mission of Mercy dental service event, which provides free dental treatment to those who are uninsured, underinsured or otherwise unable to visit a dental office. This year's Mission of Mercy is scheduled for the last weekend in June in Wausau, Wis. and Dr. Schilling and her staff will be volunteering at the event. In fact, because participating doctors and their staff donate their time and cover their own travel costs for the Mission of Mercy, donations will go directly towards treatment; every dollar donated will generate between five and seven dollars worth of patient care during the event.

There are two ways that funds will be raised by the team that evening:
1. $2.00 of every purchase of a featured cocktail that night will be donated
2. 50% of all tips will be donated

DR. SCHILLING BEGINS TEACHING AT MERITER HOSPITAL

Dr. Schilling has begun serving as a periodontics faculty member for the General Practice Residency at Meriter Hospital. She will volunteer one half day per month with the dental residents in the program. In her role, Dr. Schilling will present regular lectures and will mentor on individual patient cases at the Max W. Pohle Clinic.
